Food Pantry

Established in 2015, the food pantry was created in response to the critical need for healthy and nutritious food among Abenaki Elders, children and families. 

We collaborate closely with the Vermont Foodbank, local grocery stores and also partner with Feeding America. Each month, we provide assistance to over 500 clients and rely entirely on funding from grants and generous donations. 

Meet Our Food Pantry Manager

Debbie Dubois Lavoie is no stranger to Swanton, VT; she was born and raised here. Before taking the reins of our food pantry in April 2022, she was the proud owner of Flowers By Debbie since 1981, a business she sold in 2020. Family means the world to Debbie, who is married to John Lavoie and has a daughter named Macy. Her commitment to serving others and enriching her community shines through in her new role.
